On Feb 1-5, friendship was celebrated in our school as a school wide campaign; many activities have been taking place as a preparation for Valentine's Day: collkie grams are being sold by fifth graders, a randon acts of kindness chain is being built, middle school students came to the elementary to present skits and a song, and many more. Th intention is to teach kids practical ideas on how to be a friend.

Next week we'll focus on the value of the month, tolerance. Some ideas to be used are:
* Whoever you are, wherever you are, our smiles are the same, our hearts are the same.
* Learn about other people, cultures, and countries.
* Our world is full of nice people who look different from you.
