Summer Vacation

As the school year comes to an end, students are filled with expectation for the vacation just around the corner, and parents find themselves with the task of keeping their children busy and contented. It is common to find that kids want to to go to bed really late at nights and subsequently, get up late in the mornings, during vacation. One thing that parents could do is supervise that their kids have a time for these peak moments. Of course, flexibility and understanding should be applied, but remember that it could be really easy for them to loose many of the good habits they have acquired in the school year. Besides, getting enough sleep will help keep them in a good mood, thanks to their rested minds and healthy growing bodies, and will give them discipline and strenght to mature.

Do not forget that you're not alone, the school has organized the "Eaglemania Club" to help you this summer; there will be lots of fun and entertainment for kids, so, do not hesitate to register your child.

Also, you can help your child write a list of things he can do when he/she "has nothing to do". On the other hand, keep in mind that doing a house chore is a great way to help kids grow in virtues, like responsibility, perseverance, cooperation, service to others, etc.

The next post on this blog will be until next school year starts, God willing. Until then, I wish you a great summer and many joyful moments with your family.
